The Opportunity

We're Mynt, an independent, insight-led creative agency with over 25 years' experience helping ambitious brands grow through strategy, brand identity, campaigns, digital content and physical experiences.

We're entering an exciting new chapter, with growing client relationships and multi-layered substantial creative projects that require talented humans, not robots, to craft and deliver.

We're looking for an outstanding Lead Designer / Senior Creative to strengthen our studio, help shape our creative output and play an important role in the next stage of Mynt's growth. This is an opportunity for someone who can think strategically, lead creatively and still loves getting hands-on with the work. You'll work with international brands across sport, outdoor and performance footwear and apparel, retail, textiles, flooring and energy, transforming complex commercial challenges into distinctive, effective creative work.

You'll report to our Creative Director and Art and Design Director, with the autonomy to lead substantial projects, influence creative direction and help develop the wider team.

What You'll be Doing

Finding and championing the big ideas

  • Get beneath the brief, understand the audience and commercial challenge, and turn strategic insight into compelling creative ideas.
  • Lead creative pitches, from initial thinking and concept development through to client presentations.
  • Confidently articulate and defend your ideas, explaining their strategic relevance and commercial potential.
  • Establish clear creative direction, inspire colleagues and provide constructive feedback that makes the work stronger.

Creating outstanding work

  • Remain hands-on, developing concepts, brand identities, design systems, campaign ideas and finished creative rollout.
  • Lead projects from initial brief through to final delivery, independently or alongside a wider team.
  • Work across brand strategy and identity, advertising campaigns, product launches, film and photography concepts, art direction and digital content.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to craft, consistency and creative quality across every execution.
  • Manage substantial workloads, competing priorities and complex briefs with pace, focus and sound judgement.

Helping our studio thrive

  • Work closely with project managers to deliver outstanding creative work efficiently, within agreed scopes, budgets and deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop junior designers, helping strengthen their thinking, confidence and creative execution.
  • Collaborate with strategists, designers, filmmakers, photographers, clients and production partners.
  • Contribute to a studio culture built around curiosity, ambition, collaboration and exceptionally high creative standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with the creative intelligence, leadership experience and design craft to make a meaningful impact from day one.

Your experience

  • At least 8 years' experience leading creative pitches, winning work and subsequently leading its delivery, ideally within a respected creative, branding, advertising or integrated agency.
  • An outstanding portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, original ideas and exceptional design craft.
  • Proven experience leading substantial brand and campaign projects, including complex briefs involving multiple stakeholders, channels or markets.
  • The ability to translate brand strategy into compelling identities, campaigns and coherent creative systems.
  • Experience developing concepts and directing creative work for film, photography and digital content.
  • Confidence presenting to clients, explaining creative decisions and navigating constructive feedback.
  • Experience directing designers and collaborating with multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • Strong command of relevant design and presentation tools, alongside an organised and efficient approach to production.

Experience working with sport, outdoor, active lifestyle, retail or consumer brands would be advantageous, but it's not essential. The quality of your thinking, your work and your contribution matters more than a perfect sector CV. A degree isn't essential either.

The Person Behind the Work

Beyond your portfolio, we're looking for someone with the right attitude and ambition.

You'll be:

  • Strategically intelligent: Curious about the bigger picture, commercially aware and interested in understanding what the work needs to achieve.
  • Creatively ambitious: Passionate about producing distinctive, meaningful work that stands out for the right reasons.
  • Confident but low-ego: Comfortable leading conversations, making decisions and constructively challenging ideas, while remaining open to other perspectives.
  • Hands-on: Equally comfortable shaping the big idea and getting into the detail of its execution.
  • Accountable and resourceful: Able to take ownership, solve problems and deliver consistently under pressure.
  • Generous and collaborative: Someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and making the wider team better.
