Join Nationwide as a Senior Credit Card Product Manager - Acquisition
Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the UK's most ambitious credit card businesses. As part of our high-performing Credit Card team, you'll help drive transformational growth across both Nationwide and Virgin Money, influencing how we attract new customers, engage existing members, and develop compelling credit card propositions. This is a unique opportunity to make a visible impact at scale, with exposure to senior leaders and the chance to help shape the future direction of our combined business following the acquisition of Virgin Money.
Working closely with external partners, including aggregators, and internal teams across the business, you'll drive acquisition performance, optimise customer journeys, and deliver strong commercial results while balancing customer outcomes and risk. You'll bring deep knowledge of the UK credit card market, proven experience in credit card products and unsecured lending, and a strong track record of stakeholder management, proposition development, and leading people to success.
This is a 24-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration and in some locations you’ll be expected to spend at least two days a week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, in the office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
Virgin Money is now part of Nationwide

You’ll be employed by Nationwide from day one, delivering real impact and benefitting from a highly competitive range of benefits. We’re a workplace where you’re rewarded, recognised, and celebrated.
If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
