Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Working Pattern: Mon - Fri (37.5 hours), Eligible for virtual working / flexible working
Reports to: Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role, through active account management, is to limit the company’s exposure to bad debt. This role holder will work within a team of Credit Controllers to meet monthly debt reduction targets and reduce debtor days. You will have full end to end ownership on a mixed currency ledger of Key Customer Accounts for Funko EMEA. Building excellent relationships with both your internal and external customers is paramount in the success of this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervision of the Credit Control team to ensure all tasks are carried out correctly, and on time, including:
- Ensure timely payments from customers
- Issue statements and copy invoices to customers
- Resolve invoice queries promptly through liaising with internal departments and customers
- Complete daily banking of payments
- Allocate payments and credits where applicable
- Reconcile EMEA ledger
- Chase overdue debt
- Manage release of orders to balancing credit risk vs supporting business growth
- Create new accounts on the accounting system
- Upload of EDI (where applicable)
- Provide escalation point for the team to resolve stubborn aged debt/invoice query issues
- Develop the Credit Control team, providing individuals with regular feedback, support, training, development and coaching
- Support the AR/AP Manager to:
- Setting objectives and monitoring KPI’s, including weekly ledger reviews and achieving monthly cash collection/aged debtor/debtor day’s targets
- Production of appropriate reports on a weekly and monthly basis
- Review credit limits/payment terms of existing and new accounts, balancing need for growth vs risk
- View and approve RMA’s for processing
- Continue to drive efficiencies and improvements within the Credit Control team
- Collaborate with other departments to improve end to end Order to Cash process

What You’ll Bring:
- Ability to build and develop excellent working relationships with both your internal and external customers
- Experience of supervising a fast paced Credit Control team, ideally within an FMCG growth business
- Track record of successfully developing individual team members
- Target driven mentality
- Can-do attitude, open to change and new ways/approaches of working
- A highly organised and proactive approach to work, supporting the team when required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent IT skills including intermediate Excel
- Experience of an EMEA multicurrency ledger
- European language skills (would be an advantage)
- EDI experience (would be an advantage)
