Blue Light Card. Individually great, together unstoppable

The Role and the Team

Blue Light Card's Finance team is in the middle of a meaningful transformation, and this role sits right at the centre of it. As a Senior Credit Controller on a six-month fixed term contract, you'll keep the accounts receivable function running smoothly while the team evolves around you, supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term process improvement.

The Finance team works closely with Partnerships, commercial stakeholders, and external affiliate platforms, so this role offers genuine breadth and variety alongside its technical core. Reporting to the Ledger Manager and based at our Cossington, Leicester site, you'll be a key point of contact across the business for accounts receivable queries, debt management, and reconciliation activity.

You'll be joining at a point where your contribution will have a real and visible impact, both on the ledger and on how the team works going forward.

What You'll Do

  • Own credit control activity across Direct and Affiliate revenue streams, proactively collecting debt and escalating non-paying accounts to the appropriate internal teams
  • Post cashbook entries from bank feeds and allocate incoming receipts accurately and within agreed timeframes
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between affiliate platforms and Business Central, working collaboratively with external partners to reach resolution
  • Produce and distribute the accounts receivable ledger on a weekly and monthly basis to Finance and wider stakeholders
  • Issue monthly customer statements and liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve queries and disputes in a timely way
  • Manage transactions within the data validation pipeline, ensuring integrity and accuracy throughout
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to simplify and automate reconciliations and BAU processes, supporting the team's continuous improvement agenda

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
