Senior Credit Controller – Delegated Authority

Location: London / Hybrid
Job Type: Permanent

An established and high-performing Lloyd’s market business is looking for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to take responsibility for a large Delegated Authority portfolio within a high-performing Credit Control team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Lloyd’s market experience who is looking for a role offering autonomy, ownership, and exposure across the Delegated Authority market. You’ll work closely with internal underwriting teams, Lloyd’s brokers, and Coverholders, taking responsibility for monitoring premium performance, managing outstanding balances, and ensuring the timely settlement of accounts.

  • Take ownership of a large Delegated Authority credit control portfolio.
  • Monitor premium variances using dashboard analytics.
  • Ensure timely processing of FDO signings and receipt of paid premium bordereaux.
  • Reconcile written and paid premiums and identify outstanding balances.
  • Maintain regular communication with Lloyd’s brokers to ensure timely settlement.
  • Proactively manage problem accounts and agree appropriate remedial action.
  • Work closely with underwriting teams regarding outstanding or problem accounts.
  • Review underlying policy documentation where required.
  • Support ongoing reporting requirements across Delegated Authority Credit Control.
  • Contribute to the assessment and implementation of new technology and AI solutions within Credit Control.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within the Lloyd’s market.
  • Strong working knowledge of the premium settlement cycle for Delegated Authority business.
  • Familiarity with Lloyd’s binding authority documentation and key terms from a credit control perspective.
  • Experience with the Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR) and related policy/settlement documentation.
  • Strong Excel skills, including IF statements, Lookups, and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar dashboard analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with brokers, Coverholders, and internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of a portfolio.
