Senior Credit Controller / Credit Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Credit Controller / Credit Manager to join a well-established B2B organisation on an urgent 2–3 month temporary assignment. You MUST be available to start immediately.
This is a hands-on senior credit role, supporting an existing team while taking ownership of a busy ledger and helping the business maintain control of overdue debt and credit risk. There is potential for a permanent Credit Manager opportunity longer term, although this is not guaranteed.
The role
- Managing and reviewing a busy B2B ledger and aged debt
- Identifying high-risk and overdue accounts and taking appropriate action
- Supporting and providing guidance to the existing credit team
- Making recommendations around credit holds, limits and trading decisions
- Managing customer queries, disputes and payment issues
- Working closely with sales and commercial teams
- Supporting reporting and improvements to existing credit processes

The ideal candidate
- Strong Credit Control experience within a B2B environment
- Previous Senior Credit Controller, Credit Team Leader or Credit Manager experience
- Experience managing aged debt and making credit decisions
- Confident supporting or leading a team
- Strong communication skills and a commercial approach
- Confident using Excel and finance systems
- Credit insurance experience would be advantageous
We are looking for someone calm, confident and hands-on who can quickly get to grips with the ledger and bring stability to the credit function.
Salary: £17.95 - £18.46 per hour (35k-36k FTE) DOE, can be flexible for the right candidate

Contract: Temporary, initially 2–3 months
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Location: LS10 - fully office-based with free secure parking
Start: Immediate – candidates must be available to start straight away
Due to the urgent nature of this temporary requirement, you must be immediately available and able to start at short notice to be considered.
