Purpose of the Role

AEGIS London are seeking a Senior Credit Controller to assume responsibility for a large Delegated Authority portfolio within a high performing Credit Control team. The role envisages a level of operational autonomy reflective of extensive Lloyd’s market experience within the Delegated Authority sector. You will engage extensively with our in-house underwriting teams and with the Lloyd’s Broker and Coverholder community.

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Use of dashboard analytics in ongoing review of premium variances in respect of Delegated Authority portfolio
  • Ensure timely processing of FDO signings in respect of designated Tier 1 accounts
  • Ensure timely receipt of paid premium bordereaux in respect of designated Tier 1 accounts
  • Reconciliation of written and paid premiums in identification of outstanding balances in respect of designated Tier 1 accounts
  • Maintain regular dialogue with Lloyd’s brokers in ensuring timely settlement of outstanding balances due
  • Schedule in-person meetings with Lloyd’s brokers that fail to meet terms of trade as regards settlement of balances due
  • Maintain regular dialogue with underwriting teams regarding problem accounts and implementation of appropriate remedial action plans
  • Review of underlying policy documentation as required
  • Work with Head of Technical Reporting in assessment of ongoing reporting requirements of Delegated Authority Credit Control
  • Work with Head of Technical Reporting in assessing application of Copilot within Delegated Authority Credit Control

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Previously worked within Lloyd’s market and have working level understanding of premium settlement cycle regarding processing of Delegated Authority business
  • Familiarity with Lloyd’s binding authority format and key terms and conditions from premium credit control perspective
  • Familiarity with Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR) and maintenance of policy documentation and related settlement details therein
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel regarding application of IF statements, Lookups and use of Pivot Tables
  • Proficient use of dashboard analytics (Power BI) in daily monitoring of status of portfolio
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team setting
