Credit Analyst / Senior Credit Analyst

London | Permanent

We are supporting a specialist international bank with the appointment of Credit Analysts at both Analyst and Senior Analyst level.

This is a broad corporate credit underwriting role within an independent credit function. The successful candidates will assess transactions, analyse financial information, prepare credit recommendations, and present their findings to the Credit Committee.

The portfolio covers large UK and international corporates across sectors including commodities, oil and gas, manufacturing, automotive, construction, real estate, and supply-chain finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess corporate and trade-finance transactions.
  • Analyse financial statements, forecasts, and the borrower’s ability to repay.
  • Understand the structure, risks, and commercial rationale of each transaction.
  • Prepare clear credit papers and make confident recommendations.
  • Present findings to the Credit Committee.
  • Challenge stakeholders and defend your credit opinion when required.
  • Work across a varied international portfolio, with opportunities to develop exposure to financial institutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience in commodities, particularly oil, gas, or energy, would be highly desirable. Exposure to supply-chain finance, project finance, income-producing real estate, or real estate development would also be beneficial.

For the Senior Credit Analyst position, the bank is looking for someone who can operate with minimal oversight, undertake financial modelling, and support less experienced team members.

This is not a pure lending role, candidates must have an understanding of trade-finance products alongside wider corporate credit analysis.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
