An exciting opportunity for a Senior Trade Credit Underwriter
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Trade Credit Underwriter to join an innovative MGA operating within the fast-evolving world of environmental markets, natural restoration and carbon.
The business is already up and running, with rated carrier capacity in place. The focus is on non-payment risk within environmental credits, with ambitious plans to grow the portfolio and expand into complementary areas such as energy transition.
This is not a role where you'll simply underwrite an existing portfolio. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the underwriting proposition, influence business strategy and play a key role in growing the MGA.
The role
You'll bring the insurance expertise to a specialist market, working closely with brokers and capacity providers to structure and underwrite opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
