Role Description
The Senior Cricket Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for leading and delivering high-quality cricket coaching programs for a range of age groups and skill levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting training sessions
- Developing individualized and team development plans
- Providing technical and tactical guidance to players
- Observing and assessing performance
- Giving constructive feedback
- Preparing players for competitive matches and tournaments

- Supervising assistant coaches
- Ensuring adherence to safety and welfare standards
- Maintaining equipment
- Communicating regularly with players, guardians, and academy leadership
The Senior Cricket Coach is expected to:
- Contribute to program design
- Help identify emerging talent
- Support the overall growth and reputation of the academy’s cricket offering
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in cricket coaching, including technical, tactical, and game awareness skills.
- Minimum of ECB level 2 and full vetting details.
- Experience designing structured training programs and long-term player development plans.
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities for working with diverse groups of players and staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage players, families, colleagues, and external partners.
- Knowledge of player welfare, safeguarding principles, and health and safety standards in a sporting environment.
- Ability to analyze performance using video, data, or other tools and translate insights into practical coaching interventions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan sessions, schedules, and competitions efficiently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and match days as required by the academy schedule.
- Background checks and safeguarding clearances as required for working with young people and vulnerable individuals.
