Senior Customer Data Solutions Architect / Consultant
London / Hybrid
Permanent
We are working with a leading Data, CRM and Marketing Technology consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Customer Data Solutions Architect / Consultant to join its growing customer data and technology practice.
This is a senior, client-facing role sitting at the intersection of customer data, solution architecture, MarTech and analytics.
You’ll work with major UK and international brands to understand complex customer-data challenges, architect the right technical solutions and help lead their implementation.
Projects will range from the design and build of Single Customer Views (SCVs) and modern cloud-based customer-data platforms through to data integration, identity resolution, segmentation, analytics and the activation of customer data across CRM and Marketing Technology.
This is not a purely conceptual architecture position. We’re looking for someone who understands how modern customer-data solutions are actually designed and built and can work closely with engineering and delivery teams to turn architecture into working solutions.
What you'll be doing
As a senior member of the team, you'll act as both a technical authority and trusted client consultant, working across projects from initial discovery and solution design through to implementation.
Your responsibilities are likely to include:
- Designing and architecting Single Customer View (SCV) solutions
- Designing modern customer-data platforms and customer databases
- Understanding complex client data estates and defining the appropriate target architecture
- Bringing together customer, transactional, behavioural, digital and third-party data
- Designing customer-data models and structures
- Defining data ingestion, transformation and integration requirements
- Designing approaches to identity resolution, matching, deduplication and data quality
- Creating the data foundations required for segmentation, personalisation and customer analytics
- Designing integrations between customer-data platforms and downstream CRM, MarTech, analytics and activation platforms
- Working with technologies such as Snowflake and other modern cloud-data platforms
- Running technical discovery and requirements workshops with clients
- Translating marketing and business requirements into technical solutions
- Producing solution architecture, technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
- Working closely with data engineers, developers, analysts and MarTech specialists throughout delivery
- Providing technical oversight during implementation
- Advising senior client stakeholders on customer-data and technology strategy
- Supporting pre-sales, solutioning, technical pitches and proposals for new client opportunities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The technical environment
You'll work across a broad modern data and Marketing Technology ecosystem.
Projects could involve technologies and capabilities including:
- Snowflake
- Single Customer View / SCV platforms
- Customer Data Platforms / CDPs

- Cloud data architecture
- SQL and large-scale customer datasets
- Data modelling
- ETL / ELT and data transformation
- APIs and systems integration
- Identity resolution and customer matching
- Segmentation and audience management
- Azure, AWS and/or GCP
- CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Personalisation and decisioning technology
- Customer analytics and reporting
Depending on the client environment, you may also encounter platforms such as Bloomreach, Braze, Adobe Experience Cloud / Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud.
You don't need to be an expert across every technology. What's more important is a strong understanding of customer-data architecture and the ability to design an end-to-end solution using the right technologies for the problem.
Experience working with Snowflake or comparable modern cloud-data platforms would be particularly valuable.
What we're looking for
We're interested in people coming from customer data, data architecture, MarTech or technical consulting backgrounds.

You'll be joining an established consultancy with significant expertise across data, CRM, analytics and Marketing Technology, working on complex customer transformation programmes for major organisations.
