About the Role

- Also undertake 'desk' research in a thorough way and ensure insights are appropriately synthesized.
- Liaise with external partners, such as research agencies or research tool providers, to ensure work/services delivered are world-class, in line with internal standards, and delivering value for money for Dow Jones. Engagement with third-parties will be under the direction of the team leader.
- Support the Customer & Market Research team lead with workflow/workload planning and budget management.
- Helps ensure own workload aligns with the C&MR's team objectives that are set by the team leader.
- Actively share insights and information and ensure uptake of research recommendations by delivering presentations, debriefs, setting up and participating in workshops to teams across the business.
- Act as an ambassador for world-class research methodologies and execution, as well as educating the wider organization on key research initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
