Through a responsive, accessible and customer-centred approach, our colleagues play a vital role in improving outcomes for customers and supporting our communities across Sheffield.

About The Role

As a Senior Customer Service Officer, you'll contribute to workflow management of incoming enquiries and applications, applying legislation, policies and procedures to reach fair and consistent outcomes. You'll develop subject matter expertise within your team and our wider service, supporting customers through sometimes challenging and complex situations while helping colleagues develop their knowledge and skills.

Our Teams are varied including supporting Licensing and Environmental Regulation activities, Building control and Planning services, Fulfilment processes, and Notice Processing tasks on behalf of Parking Services and Customer Service and Contact Centres.

  • Interpreting legislation, policy and technical information to make informed decisions and contribute to outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with our Linked Services, internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
