Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, RESTful APIs, OAuth2, JSON-based webhooks, and proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with conversational messaging (e.g. business messaging API or platforms) and familiarity with GSMA standards, SMS/MMS gateways, and telecom signaling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Consulting, Software system design, and the ability to drive alignment across product, sales, and partner teams.
  • Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and how messaging serves as a conversion channel.
  • Knowledge of Dialogflow CX/ES, webhooks, and Gemini (Vertex AI) integration for conversational experiences.

About The Job

As a member of the Android and Business Communication (ABC) Partner Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of the mobile revolution, driving the global adoption of next-generation communication technologies.

We act as a crucial bridge between our products and the partner ecosystem. By blending deep technical expertise with strategic relationship management, you will dismantle barriers and accelerate the integration of our services, ensuring a seamless and advanced communication experience for billions of users on Android and beyond.

This is more than just a role; you are an ecosystem builder, and a key player in defining the future of how the world connects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design of conversational messaging solutions, architecting flows, building chatbots, and integrating agentic conversational marketing experiences.
  • Serve as the RCS technical expert to guide partners, troubleshoot complex issues, and build scalable solutions that ensure maximum technical adoption.
  • Manage executive-level stakeholder interactions and secure alignment with clients, partners, and sales during account business planning.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts and help peers succeed via mentorship, solution reviews, and dedicated support.
  • Write production-level code and follow engineering best practices (design and code reviews, test coverage). Use scripting languages (such as Python, Node.js) to build internal tools, automate partner onboarding processes, and parse large datasets for troubleshooting.
