I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You have a proven track record
You have a proven track record in enterprise customer success, strategic account management or client services, ideally within SaaS, loyalty, CRM or marketing technology.
- You can demonstrate how you have improved client outcomes, retained important accounts and identified opportunities for growth.
- You understand customer lifecycle marketing and how onboarding, communications and ongoing engagement influence programme success.
- You are confident working with data and performance reporting, identifying what needs to change and explaining your recommendations clearly.
- You build relationships across an organisation, from day-to-day programme owners to senior decision-makers, and are comfortable leading challenging conversations.
- You have enough technical confidence to discuss platform capabilities, integrations and data requirements, working with specialists where needed.
- You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach: you take ownership, follow through and keep several priorities moving.
- You enjoy improving how things work and are curious about using AI and automation to support better customer service and more efficient account management.
- Direct experience managing loyalty or rewards programmes would be valuable, as would marketing agency account management or experience supporting international clients. We’re equally interested in strong candidates from adjacent sectors who can demonstrate relevant results.
