We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Customs Clerk to join our UK Customs team.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in customs brokerage, a thorough understanding of UK customs procedures, and the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process UK import and export customs declarations using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
- Complete and manage Transit movements, IPAFFS notifications, ENS and ELO declarations.
- Ensure full compliance with UK customs legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Liaise with customers, freight forwarders and government authorities.
- Resolve customs-related issues efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth and timely clearance of consignments.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a UK customs brokerage or customs agency.
- Excellent knowledge of UK customs procedures and HMRC legislation.
- Proven experience using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
- Proven experience in handling import and export customs declarations, NCTS Transit, IPAFFS, ENS, and ELO declarations.
- Fast and accurate keyboard and data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivated, determined and ambitious.
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
