Job Title

Senior Cyber Security Consultant

Location

This is a hybrid role where the successful candidate would be expected to attend the Mitigo head office in Cheadle, UK for 2-3 days/week with travel to client sites as required.

Our services provide ongoing cyber risk management and outsources information security, so that clients can stay protected 24/7. Our expertise spans a wide range of cyber security domains, ensuring our clients remain secure and resilient. We are looking for passionate cyber individuals to join our team and help deliver high quality cyber security solutions and advice to our clients. As Mitigo continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Senior Cyber Risk Consultant to provide services and support to our expanding client base. This is a key role in the growth of Mitigo, and the right candidate will have several years of experience in one or more key cyber security and risk specialisms.

Position Overview

Our Cyber Risk team play a critical role in implementing and managing our bespoke security services for a diverse portfolio of clients. As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant you will part of a wider team of Consultants delivering our core cyber services. The successful candidate will be expected to support our clients by:

  • Delivering vulnerability assessment audits from setup through to reporting and debriefing.
  • Performing Incident Response activities for clients and inbound requests for assistance, including triage, investigation, and reporting of activity.
  • Performing ad-hoc requests for testing and assessment that fall outside of Mitigo's standard service.
  • Attending board meetings for large clients to present findings from audits.
  • Responding to client queries via phone and email.

Requirements & Skills

We are ideally looking for cyber security professionals with at least 3 years of experience in a client-facing cyber security or risk management role. You should be comfortable engaging with clients at different levels within organisations, from technical teams through the partners and directors of firms. While Mitigo deliver a number of pre-defined services, as a Senior Consultant we would expect you to be able to confidently pick up and support delivery of new and different services that may be requested by clients or developed internally. The likely focus in this role will be within the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) space, so understanding of the following frameworks will be beneficial:

  • Cyber Essentials / CE+
  • ISO27001
  • SOC2
  • NIS
  • NIST CSF
  • NCSC CAF
