About The Role
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer role at I3 Resourcing offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned cybersecurity professional to work remotely within a dynamic and forward-thinking team. This position is integral to the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, focusing on securing Azure and M365 cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing security solutions, ensuring that the cloud infrastructure remains resilient against emerging threats. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to develop robust security architectures, standards, and procedures that align with industry best practices. The position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cloud security, automation, and continuous improvement in cybersecurity defenses, and who thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud security, with extensive experience working with Azure and M365 security services. A relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CCSK, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of managing security measures within cloud environments, developing security architectures, and implementing automation solutions. Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards is essential. Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences are also important. A bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field is typically required, with additional certifications or postgraduate qualifications viewed favorably.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and review security solutions for Azure and M365 environments to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.
- Develop, maintain, and assess security architecture artifacts such as models, templates, standards, and procedures to support organizational security objectives.
- Oversee the development and enforcement of security engineering best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify automation opportunities within cloud provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and policy enforcement to enhance operational efficiency and security posture.
- Coordinate and manage cybersecurity engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, providing expert guidance on mitigation and remediation strategies.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, integrating relevant innovations into the security framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and executive management, to align security initiatives with business objectives.
