🚀 Senior Cyber Security Engineer
£70,000 – £90,000 DOE | Hybrid – Liverpool Street, London (2–4 days/week in office)
We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing security function, replacing a departing team member and stepping into a role with real ownership from day one. This is a hands-on, engineering-led position for someone who has worked operationally inside a business rather than purely on the consultancy side, and who is comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders with minimal onboarding. You'll bring deep, practical experience across SASE/SSE, vulnerability management, and EDR, working independently to support and advise on a modern security stack while helping shape best practice across the team.

🎯 Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers, engaging confidently and independently from day one
- Design, implement, and support SASE/SSE deployments (Zscaler and/or Netskope)
- Lead on vulnerability management and EDR operations, from configuration through to remediation guidance
- Provide input and guidance on DLP strategy and controls where relevant
- Support and advise across the Microsoft security stack (Purview, Defender, Sentinel) where applicable
- Contribute to incident response and exposure management activity, drawing on real-world operational experience (Rapid7 exposure welcomed)
- Act as a mentor and technical escalation point for more junior members of the team
- Bring a proactive, opinion-forming approach to customer conversations rather than a purely reactive one
🛠️ Skills/Must Have:
- Essential: hands-on experience with Zscaler and/or Netskope (SASE/SSE)
- Strong working knowledge of vulnerability management and EDR platforms
- DLP awareness or hands-on experience is a plus
- Experience with the Microsoft security stack (Purview, Defender, Sentinel) is a strong bonus
- Experience with Rapid7 (incident response and/or exposure management) is valued
- Real-world incident response experience, not just platform familiarity
- A genuine passion for cyber security and a proactive, authentic approach to customer engagement
