Senior Cyber Underwriter – Regional UK

Location: Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow

A leading global insurance business is looking to appoint a Senior Cyber Underwriter to join its growing regional team.

This is a senior technical position, with responsibility for underwriting a portfolio of Cyber business across both new business and renewals. The successful candidate will also act as a key technical resource within the team, supporting the development and mentoring of more junior Underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new business and renewals across Cyber
  • Manage and develop a profitable portfolio of Cyber business
  • Act as a senior technical referral point for the wider team
  • Support and mentor Junior Underwriters
  • Develop strong broker relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the regional Cyber proposition

  • Strong experience in Cyber underwriting
  • Good technical understanding of Cyber risks and the wider Cyber market
  • Experience managing a portfolio and making underwriting decisions
  • Comfortable acting as a senior technical resource and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Strong broker and stakeholder management skills
  • Candidates from a Cyber broking background may also be considered where they can demonstrate strong technical Cyber expertise
