Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central – Functional Consultant

Are you an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant looking for an opportunity to lead impactful transformation projects and work with a diverse range of organisations?

CPS Group UK are seeking a highly capable consultant to join a growing team delivering innovative Business Central solutions to clients across multiple sectors. This role offers the chance to work on end-to-end implementations, advise senior stakeholders, and help businesses optimise processes through technology.

As a Senior Functional Consultant, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. Working closely with clients, you'll help define requirements, shape business processes, and ensure solutions are aligned with organisational goals.

You'll be responsible for guiding customers through the full project lifecycle, from discovery and analysis through to implementation, training, and go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer workshops and requirements gathering sessions
  • Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Design effective Business Central solutions aligned to client objectives
  • Produce high-quality functional specifications and documentation
  • Configure and support Business Central implementations
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Facilitate testing, user training, and go-live activities
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Provide trusted advice on best practices and process optimisation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across projects

Required Skills & Experience

You'll bring a strong consulting background and a track record of successfully delivering Dynamics 365 Business Central projects.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV Functional Consultant
  • Strong end-to-end implementation experience
  • Excellent business process analysis and solution design skills
  • Ability to lead workshops and engage confidently with stakeholders
  • Experience producing functional documentation and requirements specifications
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a project environment
  • Experience with warehouse management, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain processes within Business Central
  • Knowledge of Business Central warehousing functionality and operational workflows
  • Experience working with third-party ISV solutions within the Business Central ecosystem
  • Exposure to warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or retail environments
  • Understanding of finance, operations, and end-to-end ERP business processes
