Job Title: Senior Data Administrator

Location: London / South East (Hybrid: 3 days on-site / 2 days WFH)

Salary: £38,000 – £39,000 per annum (NJC Scale Points 23–25)

Contract: Full-Time (36 hours/week)

About the Role

Are you an experienced data professional looking to make a meaningful difference in special education? The Beckmead Trust is looking for a Senior Data Administrator to join our central team. Reporting to the Data Manager and working closely with the Director of Data and Technology, you will lead and optimize our Trust-wide data architecture, supporting schools that transform the lives of over 1,100 children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEMH, Autism).

In this role, you will maintain critical school systems (Arbor MIS, Google Cloud, BigQuery, Microsoft Azure), oversee statutory reporting (DfE Census, Workforce Returns), and deliver data insights that drive strategic decisions across our growing network of academies.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Management & Optimization: Administer and integrate Trust data systems including Arbor MIS, SIMS, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Microsoft Azure/InTune.
  • Statutory & External Reporting: Support the Data Manager in the end-to-end preparation and submission of pupil-driven returns (DfE Census, School Workforce Return, Local Authority returns) to maximize Trust funding.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Monitor security protocols, manage user access permissions, and conduct regular audits to ensure total GDPR and child protection compliance.
  • Educational Operations: Oversee data processes for pupil assessments, admissions, internal/external examinations, timetabling, and safeguarding modules.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Analyze complex data sets to create actionable reports, landing pages, and trend dashboards for Headteachers, Senior Leadership Teams, and Trustees.
  • Team Guidance & Training: Act as a senior point of escalation, developing user guides and delivering training to school staff and mentoring junior data team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
