Senior Data Advisor (R / Survey Analytics) | 3-Month Contract
£400-450 per day (Inside IR35) | Fully Remote | ASAP Start
Via is partnering with a respected international workplace culture organisation to find a Senior Data Advisor for an initial 3-month contract.
The organisation helps businesses understand and improve their workplace culture through employee survey research, insight and well-known workplace recognition programmes. The R-based analytical processes behind its core products and client reporting are business-critical, and it needs a senior expert who can take full ownership of them from day one.
This is a hands-on role for someone who works independently, makes confident technical decisions and resolves problems rather than passing them upward. You'll support the Customer Success, Consulting and Business Intelligence teams, and act as the senior technical backstop for the Head of Business Intelligence.

What you'll be doing
- Taking full ownership of the R scripts behind the organisation's key products, reporting and insight, and developing, hardening and improving them to a production standard.
- Leading the redesign of complex templates, scripts and analytical processes as business needs change.
- Handling the most complex and sensitive client data queries end to end.
- Acting as the senior escalation point for data issues, owning root-cause analysis, risk mitigation and resolution.
- Designing the data quality checks and controls that keep all reporting accurate and defensible.
- Owning data preparation and validation for high-profile workplace recognition lists, making sure submissions are complete, accurate and evidence-ready.
- Giving clear, expert direction to Customer Success Managers on their hardest data and delivery challenges.
- Where time allows, coaching colleagues and leaving behind cleaner, better-documented processes.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years leading complex, business-critical data projects, with full accountability for quality, timelines and outcomes.
- Deep expertise in R at a senior or lead level, including building, troubleshooting and optimising production-grade scripts and workflows.
- Strong experience analysing survey data and turning it into decision-ready insight, including advanced techniques such as segmentation, PCA and key driver analysis.
- The ability to work with complete autonomy and own high-stakes technical judgement calls.
- A track record of managing multiple high-pressure workstreams against tight, fixed deadlines.
- Confident, clear communication with senior stakeholders and client-facing teams, including the ability to explain complex data issues plainly and challenge constructively.

Nice to have
- Experience building applications with R Shiny.
- SQL and Azure experience.
- Data warehousing or data engineering experience, including setting up cloud data warehouses or running R scripts in a cloud environment.
Contract details
- £400-450 per day, Inside IR35.
- 3-month initial contract.
- Fully remote.
