Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead strategic Data & AI advisory engagements, helping clients identify opportunities, overcome challenges and translate their business ambitions into actionable strategies that deliver measurable value. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to assess organisational capabilities, prioritise investments and develop practical roadmaps that accelerate data-driven transformation. Taking ownership of client relationships and complex challenges, you will bring fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to help organisations realise the full potential of their data and AI investments.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of consultants, architects, engineers, analysts and data scientists to turn strategic recommendations into successful outcomes. As a trusted advisor, you will contribute to the growth of CGI’s Data & AI Advisory practice, sharing expertise, developing new opportunities and supporting colleagues within an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead & Advise: Deliver strategic Data & AI consulting engagements, influencing senior stakeholders and aligning investments with business priorities.
- Discover & Assess: Conduct Data & AI maturity assessments, diagnostics and discovery workshops to identify capability gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Strategise & Transform: Develop data strategies, architecture blueprints, operating models and transformation roadmaps aligned to client objectives.
- Identify & Prioritise: Shape high-value Data & AI use cases, business cases and investment priorities that demonstrate measurable business benefits.
- Innovate & Deliver: Guide clients from strategic planning through experimentation to scalable implementation, ensuring sustainable business outcomes.
- Govern & Enable: Advise on data governance, analytics, AI adoption and data literacy to strengthen organisational capabilities.
- Collaborate & Influence: Work across multidisciplinary teams, facilitating workshops and communicating recommendations to business and technology stakeholders.
- Grow & Develop: Build trusted client relationships, identify business development opportunities and contribute to proposals, thought leadership and proposition development.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience in Data & AI consulting, combining strategic business understanding with broad technical knowledge and expertise in at least one specialist discipline. You will be confident advising senior stakeholders, leading complex engagements and translating business challenges into practical, value-driven solutions. Your ability to think creatively, build trusted relationships and collaborate with diverse teams will be essential to delivering successful client outcomes.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Data & AI Consulting: Proven experience delivering strategic advisory engagements and connecting Data & AI initiatives to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Technical Expertise: Broad understanding of Data & AI disciplines, with deep expertise in areas such as data strategy, governance, architecture, platforms, engineering, analytics, data science or AI.
- Strategic Planning: Demonstrable experience developing data strategies, maturity assessments, business cases, investment priorities and transformation roadmaps.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, with experience advising senior business and technology stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Consulting Leadership: Proven ability to lead engagements, facilitate workshops, navigate ambiguity and develop trusted client relationships.
- Delivery Experience: Experience supporting Data & AI initiatives from discovery and strategy through experimentation, implementation and adoption.
- Governance & Operating Models: Strong understanding of data governance, organisational capabilities, operating models and the people and processes required for successful Data & AI adoption.
- Business Development: Experience identifying opportunities, contributing to client proposals, developing propositions and supporting consulting practice growth.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, challenge conventional thinking and develop practical, innovative solutions.
- Industry Awareness: Knowledge of emerging Data & AI trends, technologies and approaches, with the ability to communicate their business value and implications.
