Senior Data Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 month initial contract
Day Rate: Competitive (via umbrella)

Role Purpose

The Senior Data Analyst plays a key role, delivering data-driven insight that supports customer growth, campaign optimisation, and investment outcomes. Working within an Agile squad, the role combines analytical expertise, business engagement, and data visualisation to identify opportunities, measure performance, and drive commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

Insight & Analytics

  • Conduct analysis to identify customer behaviours, trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Translate business questions into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Analyse customer journeys, campaign performance and channel effectiveness.
  • Support decision-making through data-driven storytelling and commercial insight.

Campaign & Targeting

  • Build and validate customer audiences and segmentation strategies.
  • Measure campaign performance and customer response.
  • Identify opportunities to improve targeting, conversion and customer engagement.
  • Support testing, optimisation and performance measurement activities.

Data Visualisation & Reporting

  • Design and develop dashboards and visualisations using Amazon QuickSight and Tableau.
  • Build self-service reporting solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Produce regular KPI reporting, insight packs and performance dashboards.
  • Present complex findings through clear and compelling visual storytelling.

Agile Delivery

  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Deliver analytical work within agreed sprint timelines.
  • Maintain and update work items within Jira.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers and Decision Scientists to deliver business outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships across Marketing, Product, Journey and Technology teams.
  • Gather and refine business requirements.
  • Communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Influence priorities through evidence-based recommendations.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Experience developing dashboards in QuickSight and Tableau.
  • Strong visualisation and data storytelling capability.
  • Experience working with large customer datasets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Desirable

  • Wealth Management, Investments or Financial Services experience.
  • Customer segmentation and targeting expertise.
  • Campaign measurement and attribution experience.
  • Snowflake, Python or SAS knowledge.
  • Understanding of customer journeys and digital analytics.
