Senior Data Analyst

Salary: National: £42,450. London: £46,185
Hybrid: minimum of 8 days a month in London office
Are you an experienced Data Analyst who can turn complex information into clear, actionable insight?
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in how GamCare uses data to understand performance, improve services and support evidence-based decision-making that will help make a difference to the lives of people affected by gambling-related harms.
Working across our services, you will:
- Analyse complex datasets, identify trends and opportunities, and translate your findings into meaningful recommendations.
- Develop and maintain datasets, dashboards and reports, helping colleagues monitor performance, understand outcomes and demonstrate the impact of our work.
- Review and improve the systems and processes that support service delivery, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and reliable.
- Develop automated solutions, improve reporting processes and work closely with colleagues across service, data and IT teams to help them access, understand and use data effectively.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Advanced experience of Power BI, including semantic models, star schemas, DAX, calculated columns, hierarchies and performance optimisation.
- Proficiency in Power Query Editor and M Language, with experience of Power BI datasets, dataflows, semantic layers and SQL for querying, transforming, testing and validating data from multiple sources.
- Experience from an analytical or data-focused role, working with large and complex datasets to produce reports, insights and recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, knowledge of data governance and GDPR.
- Experience of handling sensitive data.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively and identify improvements to systems and processes.
