Senior Data Scientist
Our award-winning global SaaS client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Data Scientist covering International (UK and CA) run-the-business analytics and data science. You will be the sole senior owner, keeping revenue visibility, regulatory reporting, and the current model suite running. This role is a 6 Month contract, Hybrid working – potential to extend.
You will work closely with product, marketing, engineering, business development, compliance, and member support. This role suits a hands-on operator who takes over existing BAU and runs it end to end with minimal support, staying reliable under real deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Monitor UK/CA revenue baselines and flag anomalies early
- Support partner performance monitoring and escalations
- Run email campaign analytics: anomalies, re‑targeting, send‑failure triage, churn insights
- Deliver DSAR/RTBF requests, complaint data, FCA returns, marketplace‑ranking monitoring
- Represent analytics in business reviews; simplify technical detail for stakeholders
- Maintain production models: refreshes, retraining, redeploys, health checks
- Run data‑quality checks and triage pipeline/feed issues
- Provide full handover of models, pipelines, and reporting at contract close

Skills
- 5+ years of experience in data science and analytics, including running production models and BAU analytics
- B2C, fintech, consumer tech, and e-commerce industry experience
- Proven ability to pick up existing BAU processes quickly and deliver with low to no supervision
- Strong SQL and Python or R.
- Hands-on experience maintaining production ML models
- Impressive tech stack, including, Looker, Airflow and Google Cloud
- Experience with model performance monitoring and data quality
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or similar), or equivalent experience
