About Transport for the South East (TfSE)
Transport for the South East (TfSE) is the sub-national transport body for the South East of England. Our partnership brings together 16 local transport authorities, district and borough councils, and a diverse community of stakeholders from the transport, business, and environmental sectors. East Sussex County Council acts as the host authority for TfSE.

Role Overview
As our Senior Data Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the development of the analytical framework that guides regional strategic transport planning, helping to shape regional transport policy and influence national investment decisions through clear, evidence-based analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a variety of complex transport and demographic datasets.
- Use tools such as GIS, data visualisation platforms, and statistical software.
- Uncover insights from our regional travel survey.
- Deliver tailored research projects that support the Transport Strategy and Strategic Investment Plan.

Key Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and experience with complex datasets.
- Proficiency in GIS, data visualisation platforms, and statistical software.
- Ability to deliver evidence-based analysis to influence policy and investment decisions.
Contract Details
This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027. Subject to future funding agreements, there may be an opportunity to extend the appointment beyond this date.
