Senior Data Analyst

Do you care about the power of data to support positive, lasting change? Join us as a Senior Data Analyst at Transport for the South East and make a real impact towards a transport system that’s more sustainable, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the 7.5 million people who live and travel across the region.

About the Role

Transport for the South East (TfSE) is the sub-national transport body for the South East of England. Our partnership brings together 16 local transport authorities, district and borough councils, and a diverse community of stakeholders from the transport, business, and environmental sectors. East Sussex County Council acts as the host authority for TfSE.

Help TfSE turn data into evidence that shapes decisions for a more sustainable, inclusive and responsive transport system, supporting the 7.5 million people who live and travel across the South East. You'll work with our 2026 Regional Travel Surveys and build direct relationships with our 16 local transport authorities to help improve everyday journeys throughout the region.

As our Senior Data Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the development of the analytical framework that guides strategic transport planning across the region. Your thoughtful insights will help shape regional transport policy and influence national investment decisions through clear, evidence-based analysis.

In this role, you’ll work with data to create meaningful insights that support informed decision-making and help improve everyday journeys for communities throughout the South East.

In this role, you’ll work with a variety of complex transport and demographic datasets, using tools such as GIS, data visualisation platforms, and statistical software. A key part of your work will involve uncovering insights from our regional travel survey and delivering tailored research projects that support the Transport Strategy and Strategic Investment Plan.

Your success will come from a blend of strong technical skills, strategic understanding, and the ability to communicate complex data in a way that is accessible and engaging for a wide range of audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
