About the Role

We are supporting the build-out of a high-impact analytics capability within a market-leading, data-driven Life Insurance intermediary. This role is for a Senior Data Analyst who combines strong analytical capability with commercial thinking and stakeholder influence. You will play a key role in shaping how data is used to drive performance across marketing, sales, and customer operations. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on revenue, conversion, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver insight across key commercial areas (lead generation, conversion, retention)
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and drive measurable outcomes
  • Act as a bridge between business and data engineering teams
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and strategy
  • Design and implement analytics approaches to optimise customer journeys
  • Lead on experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, performance measurement)
  • Build scalable dashboards and reporting aligned to business KPIs
  • Support development of data models, definitions, and data quality, ensuring strong data governance standards
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the wider data capability

Skills & Experience Profile

  • Strong experience in a Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst role within a commercial environment
  • Advanced SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Strong experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes
  • Experience delivering insight in fast-paced, performance-led environments

Desirable

  • Marketing / growth / sales analytics experience
  • Background in insurance, financial services, or high-volume B2C businesses
  • Experience with experimentation and optimisation frameworks
  • Python / R or exposure to advanced analytics
  • Experience with modern data platforms (such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)

Additional Information

  • Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (based on experience) + benefits package
  • Location: Hybrid working with onsite travel to the office in Basingstoke.
  • Candidates must have the right to work and reside in the UK.
