About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a prominent global online delivery and marketplace platform, we are seeking a Senior Data Analyst - Fraud Analytics in London. In this mission-critical analytics role, you will uncover complex fraudulent patterns across payments, account takeovers, promotional abuse, and courier collusion, designing automated detection models that safeguard platform revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze multi-terabyte transactional and behavioral datasets to identify novel fraud vectors, payment chargeback patterns, and promo abuse.
- Build, evaluate, and tune automated fraud detection rules, anomaly detection algorithms, and risk scoring models.
- Partner closely with Fraud Product Managers and Engineering to integrate real-time fraud mitigation logic into checkout and dispatch pipelines.
- Develop real-time fraud monitoring dashboards, loss prevention scorecards, and executive risk metrics in Tableau or Looker.
- Conduct deep-dive forensic investigations on emerging syndicated fraud attacks and recommend immediate defensive counter-measures.
- Balance fraud friction with user experience, ensuring legitimate customers and couriers enjoy seamless platform interactions.
- Formulate statistical hypothesis tests to quantify the financial impact and false-positive rates of newly introduced fraud rules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of dedicated experience in fraud analytics, risk intelligence, payments fraud, or cyber analytics in e-commerce or fintech.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/R for large-scale data analysis, machine learning classification, and predictive modeling.
- Deep understanding of digital payment mechanisms, chargeback mitigation, 3DS protocols, and identity verification systems.
- Proven track record in translating complex fraud forensics into actionable platform rules and product features.
- Strong mathematical and statistical modeling capabilities with high attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Excellent English communication skills.
