Meet the team 👥
Here at Cleo, we have ~70 Data Scientists (Product Analysts) working embedded into our Pillars ✨ They stay connected and share knowledge consistently through monthly meetings and slack channels to scale approaches and ensure everyone learns in the same way. They thrive through clear communication with their squad and stakeholders to influence product or company decisions, being that bridge between the non-tech and technical sides of the team. About The Role ✍️
We're hiring a Senior Data Scientist for Cleo's Marketing Analytics team (Organic + Brand), to build the measurement, attribution, and performance frameworks that grow organic and brand-led acquisition beyond paid. You'll be responsible for building the SEO measurement from scratch and defining how Cleo measures the emerging GEO channel, partnering closely with organic, brand, PMM, and growth leadership as well as:
- Analyse performance across SEO, ASO, organic social, and other owned/earned channels, building foundational measurement frameworks with clear KPIs and diagnostics
- Build Cleo's SEO measurement from the ground up and define how we measure and grow visibility in GEO, an emerging channel we want to lead on
- Identify opportunities to grow organic contribution and reduce paid dependency through content, distribution, and optimisation
- Partner with Brand and Product Marketing to measure the impact of major launches and campaigns, defining mid-funnel and brand metrics (awareness, consideration, engagement) and connecting them to downstream outcomes via causal methods
- Contribute to cross-channel attribution frameworks spanning brand and performance activity, and demonstrate the incrementality of brand marketing
- Design, run, and interpret experiments across organic and brand — from content/SEO tests to geo-lift and regional holdout experiments
- Conduct cohort and funnel analyses to understand user behaviour from organic entry through to long-term value
- Surface strategic insights and clear recommendations on where to invest, what to change, and what to stop
- Act as a thought partner to Organic, Brand, Product Marketing, and Growth leadership on strategy, roadmaps, and investment decisions
- Present insights and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders, turning complex analysis into actionable decisions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
