POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst – AI & Analytics to join PMY on an approximately four-month contract, supporting a high-profile client within the sports and fan engagement space. This is a client-facing role where you will work closely with stakeholders and PMY’s technical teams to turn complex data into clear, commercially relevant insights, while supporting the development and adoption of AI-enabled conversational analytics.

We are looking for someone who is confident working across both technical and business conversations, can explain insights clearly, and build strong stakeholder relationships. The role is London-based and hybrid, with at least one day per week with the client in Victoria and occasional travel to Dublin. Ideally, you will be available to start in early September or at short notice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a key analytics contact for client stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into clear, practical and commercially relevant insights.
- Support the development and adoption of AI-powered conversational analytics.
- Help define analytics use cases and gather feedback from users.
- Test and validate data and natural-language query outputs.
- Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify trends, opportunities, reporting requirements and data-quality issues.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and Solution Architects to ensure analytics solutions meet business needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, insights or a similar field. You will ideally have:
- Strong experience working as a Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, Analytics Consultant, BI Analyst or in a similar analytics-focused role.
- Proven client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills.
- Experience using insights to influence commercial or operational decisions.
- Exposure to AI, conversational analytics, Generative AI or natural-language querying of data.
- The confidence to work independently and take ownership of your work.
- Experience within sports, media, broadcasting or live events would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience with the Google Cloud ecosystem, including Gemini or Vertex AI, would also be beneficial.
