Join Serenity as a Senior Data Analyst and help turn data into meaningful insight. You'll support reporting, identify trends and help shape evidence-based decisions for a growing mental health organisation working to create a safer space to breathe.

As a Senior Data Analyst, your work will help transform raw information into insight that can directly influence how Serenity develops its services and delivers its community benefit.

- Identify trends and areas where our services or processes could be improved.
- Make informed, evidence-based decisions rather than relying on assumptions.

- Develop stronger ways of measuring whether our work is achieving the outcomes we intend.
- Use our limited resources more effectively as a growing Community Interest Company.
Ultimately, your analysis will help Serenity better understand the communities we serve and make smarter decisions about how we support them.

What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical thinking who can turn data into clear, useful insights.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in data analysis, reporting or a related area, with skills in some tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, R or similar.
We’re particularly interested in someone who
- Can analyse data and identify meaningful trends and patterns.
- Can create clear reports, dashboards or visualisations.
- Communicates findings confidently to non-technical colleagues.
- Has good attention to detail and approaches data critically.
- Can work independently while collaborating with different teams.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and responsible data handling.
We’re flexible about your background and the specific tools you use. You don’t need experience in the mental health or CIC sector. What matters most is analytical ability, curiosity, sound judgement and a willingness to use your skills to make a positive impact.

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will help Serenity understand how our services, community and wider activities are performing by turning data into clear, meaningful and actionable insight.
Working alongside our wider Analytics, Marketing, Engineering and leadership teams, you will take a senior role in developing Serenity's approach to reporting and analysis as we continue to grow.

Key responsibilities will include
- Analysing platform, operational, community and marketing data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports and other analytical tools that make complex information accessible to different teams.
- Translating data into clear insights and recommendations to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Supporting the development of meaningful KPIs and measures of performance, impact and engagement.
- Working with colleagues across Serenity to understand their reporting and analytical requirements.
- Helping improve the quality, consistency and usefulness of data collected across the organisation.
- Reviewing existing reporting processes and identifying opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Presenting analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Supporting and providing guidance to other members of the Analytics function where appropriate.
- Working responsibly with potentially sensitive information and following Serenity's data protection, confidentiality and information security requirements.
This is a volunteer role with genuine scope to influence how a growing mental health organisation uses data. We are particularly interested in someone who enjoys going beyond producing numbers and can help us understand what the data is telling us, why it matters and what we should do next.
