About the Role
We are seeking experienced data analysts to join our teams providing data and intelligence across the shipping and energy industries. We deliver actionable data-driven insights across diverse global shipping, trade, offshore, renewables, and energy datasets. You will have the opportunity to build on your data analytics skills, and develop deep knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced industry that sits at the heart of the world economy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Use the latest data science tools and techniques for data processing, analysis, and visualisation of large, complex data sets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, plan deliverables, and track implementation with analysts, data engineers, and developers
- Incorporate advanced AI and algorithms where relevant
- Lead implementation of ETL and processing pipelines, data derivation, and analysis
- Work across teams, support clients, and report progress to senior management
You’ll Need to Have
- 3-4 years’ data analytics experience working with complex data models
- Ability to update technical and non-technical stakeholders on progress on projects
- Experience supervising junior analysts, data engineers, and developers
- Excellent SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, and spatial
- Working knowledge of Python, JSON, and DAX
- Ability to deliver actionable insights clearly using visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Strong numerical, data handling, and analytical skills
- A degree in a relevant numerate or analytical subject
- Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail
