Senior Data & Analytics Lead – AI, Risk & Assurance

Global FTSE PLC

To £130,000 + car allowance + 40% bonus

Astrum Search is delighted to be supporting a leading global organisation in the appointment of a Senior Data & Analytics Lead – AI, Risk & Assurance.

This is a rare opportunity to build a new data and analytics capability from the ground up, sitting at the intersection of data, AI, technology, risk and assurance. You will shape how analytics are used to identify risk, improve controls and deliver continuous, data-led assurance across a complex international business.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape and deliver the data and analytics strategy across Risk and Internal Audit
  • Build scalable data pipelines, analytics solutions, dashboards and BI capabilities
  • Develop continuous monitoring and full-population analytics to identify risk, anomalies, fraud and control weaknesses
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, machine learning and advanced analytics
  • Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Audit and business stakeholders
  • Develop data governance, quality and analytics standards
  • Coach colleagues and help build wider data and analytics capability

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Analytics Transformation, Data & AI or a related discipline
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise analytics solutions
  • Strong SQL and Python or R skills, alongside BI tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modelling and modern cloud/data platforms
  • Understanding of analytics applied to risk, controls, anomalies or business performance
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, automation or continuous monitoring
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts into business insight
  • Risk, Controls, Assurance or Internal Audit experience is advantageous, but not essential
