About the Role
As a Senior Data and Insight Specialist, you will play a key part in transforming raw data into meaningful insight that supports strategic workforce planning and organisational decision-making. Working closely with the Data & Insight Team Manager and Strategic People Partners, you will extract, manipulate, and interpret data from multiple systems - including SAP, IBC and other management information systems - to develop high-quality reporting and analytics.

A significant element of the role will involve designing and delivering intuitive front-end Power BI dashboards, ensuring information is clear, coherent, and tells a compelling story. You will work with large and complex datasets, apply advanced Excel skills, and ideally utilise DAX to optimise data models. Experience with SQL queries would be a strong advantage. Your analysis will help shape solutions, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement across the Council.
About You
You are an analytical thinker with a passion for turning data into actionable insight. You have strong technical skills in data manipulation, modelling, and visualisation, with experience using Power BI to create accessible, user-focused dashboards. You are confident working with multiple data sources, comfortable using Excel to a high standard, and ideally familiar with DAX and/or SQL.
