Senior Data Architect

Remote (UK) with occasional travel | £80,000 to £90,000 + benefits

This is an opportunity to take ownership of data architecture within a large-scale Azure Data Lakehouse transformation. You'll play a key role in shaping how data is modelled, governed, and consumed across the organisation, helping to drive the transition from traditional reporting to advanced analytics and data-driven decision making.

The Company

They are a well-established UK organisation with a complex data landscape and a strong commitment to modernising their data capabilities. Having invested significantly in cloud-based data infrastructure, they are now focused on building scalable, high-quality data products that support both operational and strategic objectives.

Data is becoming increasingly central to business decision making, and this role offers the chance to influence data strategy at a senior level while remaining hands-on with architecture and modelling.

The Role

You will act as the technical authority for data architecture and modelling across a modern Azure environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and governing enterprise-wide data models across a Medallion Architecture framework
  • Creating curated data models using dimensional modelling and Kimball methodologies
  • Defining modelling standards, governance frameworks, and data feed specifications
  • Supporting the design of semantic layers that enable reporting, analytics, and future AI use cases
  • Collaborating closely with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers in an agile delivery environment
  • Producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical designs
  • Influencing wider business systems to ensure strong data architecture principles are embedded throughout the organisation
  • Driving best practice across data quality, consistency, scalability, and governance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
