Senior Data Architect

Remote (UK) | £87,000 to £90,000 + Benefits

This is an opportunity to take ownership of data architecture within a large-scale Azure data transformation programme. You'll play a key role in shaping a modern Data Lakehouse environment, driving best practice in data modelling, governance, and analytics while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

The Company

This organisation is a well-established UK professional services business that is investing heavily in its data capabilities. Having already modernised its infrastructure and implemented an Azure Data Lakehouse platform, they are now focused on improving data visibility, strengthening governance, and enabling more advanced analytics across the business.

The Role

You will lead data architecture and modelling across a modern cloud platform, ensuring data is structured, governed, and accessible for reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing enterprise-wide data models within a Medallion Architecture.
  • Creating scalable dimensional models and semantic data layers.
  • Defining data architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Partnering with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
  • Acting as the go-to expert for data modelling and architecture across the organisation.

Your Skills & Experience

You will have strong commercial experience in:

  • Data Architecture and Data Modelling in enterprise environments.
  • Dimensional modelling, star schemas, facts and dimensions, and Kimball methodologies.
  • Designing semantic or curated data layers within modern cloud platforms.
  • Medallion Architecture and Azure Data Lakehouse environments.
  • Data governance, standards, and architecture best practice.
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.

  • Professional Services, Legal Services, Banking, or Financial Services environments.
  • Supporting organisations through large-scale data transformation programmes.
