Job Title: Data Architect
Rate: £650 (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote - Occasional visits once a month
Clearance: Active SC
Stages: 1 Stage
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level data architecture strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Define data standards, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, engineers, and senior leadership, to understand data requirements
- Oversee data integration processes across Legacy and modern platforms
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
- Support the development of data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Provide guidance on data architecture tools, technologies, and methodologies
- Conduct data impact assessments and support system migration or transformation initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Data Architect in large-scale environments
- Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques (e.g., dimensional modelling, ER modelling)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Expertise in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL/ELT processes
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
