Job Title: Data Architect

Rate: £650 (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote - Occasional visits once a month
Clearance: Active SC
Stages: 1 Stage

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-level data architecture strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Define data standards, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, engineers, and senior leadership, to understand data requirements
  • Oversee data integration processes across Legacy and modern platforms
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Support the development of data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Provide guidance on data architecture tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Conduct data impact assessments and support system migration or transformation initiatives

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect in large-scale environments
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques (e.g., dimensional modelling, ER modelling)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Expertise in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL/ELT processes
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
