Senior Data Architect

Leeds/Remote

Up to £90,000

The Company

They are a well-established UK organisation with a significant national presence and a large, diverse data estate. Having already modernised their infrastructure and implemented a cloud-based Azure Data Lakehouse platform, they are now focused on improving data accessibility, governance, and analytical capability.

Data is a strategic priority across the business, with strong executive sponsorship and ongoing investment in technology, people, and processes. This creates an excellent opportunity for a Senior Data Architect to make a lasting impact.

The Role

You will lead the data modelling and architecture strategy across a modern Azure Data Lakehouse environment, ensuring scalable and governed data solutions that support both current reporting and future analytical use cases.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and governing enterprise-wide data models across Medallion Architecture layers.
  • Creating curated semantic and analytical data models using dimensional modelling and Kimball methodologies.
  • Defining data modelling standards, governance frameworks, and data feed specifications.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Influencing wider business systems to embed data architecture principles across the organisation.
  • Producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and data models while remaining hands-on in delivery.
  • Acting as the technical authority for data architecture and data modelling best practice.
  • Supporting the evolution from operational reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
