SENIOR DATA ARCHITECT
£87,000-£90,000
REMOTE (UK) 1 day per month in Leeds
This is a great opportunity to join a major organisation undergoing a large-scale Azure data transformation. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of the company's data platform, becoming the go-to expert for data modelling and architecture whilst helping drive the move towards advanced analytics and data-driven decision making.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-established professional services organisation with a significant national presence and ongoing investment in data and technology. Having already modernised its infrastructure and established a cloud-based Azure Data Lakehouse platform, the business is now focused on building innovative data solutions and creating greater value from its data assets.
THE ROLE
- Own the data modelling and architecture strategy across a modern Azure Data Lakehouse environment
- Design and govern enterprise-wide data models across Medallion Architecture layers
- Create scalable curated and semantic data models using dimensional modelling and Kimball methodologies
- Define data standards, governance frameworks and modelling best practices across the platform
- Work closely with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to deliver data solutions
- Act as the technical authority for data modelling and architecture across the business
- Support the evolution from operational reporting towards predictive and prescriptive analytics

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong hands-on Data Architecture experience within enterprise-scale environments
- Extensive experience with dimensional modelling, star schemas, facts, dimensions and Kimball methodologies
- Experience designing curated and semantic layers within modern cloud data platforms
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and Azure-based Data Lakehouse environments
- Experience establishing governance, standards and data architecture best practices
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience influencing senior leaders
- Experience within Financial Services, Professional Services or other regulated environments would be advantageous

SALARY AND BENEFITS
- £87,000-£90,000 base salary
- Predominantly remote working model
