🚨Senior Data Architect🚨
📍London / hybrid📍
đź’µ [ÂŁ120k Base + bonus + benefits]đź’µ
A high-traffic consumer digital business is midway through a major technology transformation and needs someone to own data architecture across the whole estate — multi-cloud, hosted, and on-prem.
This is an authority role, not a documentation one. You'll sit in the Architecture team, report to the Enterprise Architect, and be the data voice in the design governance forum. Standards are yours to write and yours to enforce.
đź‘”What you'll own:
- Mapping current-state data flows across the full estate, then designing the target state — cloud-first, resilient, and actually deliverable
- Writing the data architecture standards, patterns and principles, and holding the line on them at design review
- Getting in early on every project that materially changes the data landscape, before anyone starts building
- Leading lakehouse and pipeline architecture — streaming and batch — including the platform foundations for AI/ML workloads
- Making a hybrid estate hang together coherently, with clear cross-environment patterns and data contracts

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

👤What you'll bring:

- Track record defining and enforcing enterprise data standards, with real architecture governance forum experience
- Modern platform design — open table formats, zone architecture, data quality frameworks
- AI/ML infrastructure design: training pipelines, inference serving, RAG patterns over proprietary content
- The ability to hold a position under challenge and still land a design engineering will actually build
