Shape the future of enterprise data

As a strategic leader responsible for defining the architecture, models, and standards that enable data to drive business success, you will join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees as a Senior Data Architect!

About the Role

In this highly influential role, you will provide enterprise-wide data architecture leadership, creating scalable, reusable data solutions that power analytics, innovation, and decision-making. Working at the intersection of business strategy, governance, and technology, you will translate complex requirements into robust data models and architecture decisions that deliver lasting value across the organisation.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the enterprise data architecture and enterprise data model, ensuring the creation of scalable, reusable Data Assets.
  • Define and govern enterprise data modelling standards, architecture principles, and design patterns for how data is structured, stored, integrated, and accessed.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data architecture solutions.
  • Design and maintain the future-state data architecture, ensuring Data Product data models and asset structures align with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with key data leadership roles to ensure enterprise data management requirements are consistently reflected within architecture designs.
  • Maintain enterprise architecture artefacts, design guidance, and review processes, providing support to retained and delivery teams while establishing metrics, architectural views, and reporting mechanisms.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Professional experience and qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Data, Cyber Security, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience across data and technology domains, including data, analytics, AI, data products, data platforms, governance, or data architecture, with a proven track record operating as a senior specialist, technical lead, product/platform lead, or process owner.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and managing strategic frameworks including roadmaps, standards, lifecycle plans, design guardrails, governance models, and service improvement plans within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong practical understanding of enterprise technology delivery, including architecture principles, security, service management, operational resilience, and supplier or partner operating models.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to develop pragmatic and sustainable solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance innovation, cost, risk, reliability, compliance, and delivery feasibility.
