Our Data team is at the heart of our transformation journey, enabling smarter decisions, better customer experiences and stronger business performance through trusted, accessible and high-quality data. We're building a modern, product-led approach to data, moving beyond traditional reporting to create data products that deliver measurable value across the organisation. Bringing together Product, Engineering, Governance, Analytics and Delivery expertise, the team works collaboratively to solve complex challenges and unlock new opportunities through data, insight and AI. About the role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll lead discovery and delivery activities across large-scale, cross-functional programmes with a strong data focus. You'll:
- Lead strategic discovery activities to identify data-driven opportunities and define solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Work with Product, Data Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into clear requirements and actionable data solutions.
- Analyse business processes, data flows, customer journeys, and operational challenges to identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to define outcomes, success measures, KPIs, and business cases.
- Own requirements from discovery through to implementation, ensuring full traceability from business need to realised benefit.
- Partner with Product Managers to shape and prioritise backlogs based on customer impact, commercial value, risk, and technical complexity.
- Support the evolution of data platforms, reporting capabilities, governance frameworks, master data, data quality, and self-service analytics.
- Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform decisions, validate assumptions, and measure outcomes.
- Lead solution validation, UAT strategy, and benefits realisation activities.
- Provide expert guidance on organisational change, process redesign, and adoption of new data capabilities.
- Influence senior leaders and help drive alignment across multiple teams and business functions.

About you
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst who has delivered complex Data initiatives and has a genuine passion for using data to solve business problems. You'll bring:
- Significant experience operating as a Senior Business Analyst within large, complex environments.
- Proven experience delivering data, analytics, reporting, or platform transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data flows, data governance, data quality, and modern data ecosystems.
- Experience working closely with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams.
- Advanced requirements engineering, process modelling, and systems analysis skills.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interrogate data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Experience defining KPIs, success measures, business cases, and benefits tracking frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence at Director and Executive level.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Experience working within Agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to have
- Experience delivering data governance, master data, customer data, AI, or advanced analytics initiatives.
- Experience supporting vendor selection processes and technology evaluations.
- Knowledge of Retail, eCommerce, Financial Services, or other customer-centric environments.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, BCS Advanced Business Analysis, SAFe, or Agile qualifications.

1st stage - A one hour Teams interview with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience + competency questions. This is also a great opportunity to find out more about the role and to ask any questions you may have. 2nd Stage - Task Based Final stage - face to face with the hiring team.
