Lead Data Coach — Data Analytics Bootcamp (London, 4-month contract)

You can do the work — you've done it for real. And you turned out to be good at the harder part: making it click for someone who's just starting out. This role makes that the job — taking a cohort of career-changers from their first session to genuinely employable.

What the job is

Your learners arrive as career-changers and leave able to do real analytical work. You deliver our Level 4 data analytics Skills Bootcamp to a cohort of 45, and you own whether they get there. Not theory off slides — they work on real problems, including in Prism, a simulated business we built on 500 million rows of real data. You lead the cohort: you set the pace, hold the standard across all 45, and direct a team of support coaches alongside you.

About iO-Sphere

We train people to do things with data and AI, not just learn about them. Learners work on real problems, including in Prism, a simulated business we built on 500 million rows of real data. 900+ people have trained with us, we're rated 4.8 on Google, and we're one of the UK's fastest-growing data and AI training startups. Teams at PwC, BAE Systems, Dunelm, Motorway and CBRE send us their people.

The role

  • Teach live sessions in person at our E1 office by Liverpool Street, around two days a week — running scenarios and direct feedback, not reading slides.
  • Run one-to-ones, drop-ins and office hours so nobody quietly stalls — and catch the person who's slipping early, because that's the part that decides whether they finish.
  • Mark submissions using our AI-assisted flow in iO Academy: review the AI's draft, make the final judgement against each Level 4 criterion, and write feedback they can act on.
  • Get learners job-ready: portfolios, interviews, the "what next."
  • Handle the delivery a regulated provider runs on — suitability conversations with joiners, inclusive teaching to mixed starting points, and accurate records in Aptem. It matters because someone's qualification depends on the evidence holding up.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Why you'd want it

  • You'd see the whole arc, and fast: someone turns up unsure they belong near data and leaves as a working analyst — and you were the reason. That's hard to get anywhere else.
  • You'd stay close to the work, too — you're coaching real analysis on real data, not marking textbook exercises.

And we're a startup, so how we coach isn't finished. We'd want you helping build it: how delivery runs, how we catch someone slipping sooner, how a new coach gets good faster. There's real work here for someone who leans in — not as a route off coaching, though. The people who improve how we coach are the ones deepest in it.

Who you are

  • You've done real data analysis — SQL, a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau or similar), and the judgement that comes from actual work rather than a course.
  • You can hold a room and make a technical idea land for someone from a non-technical background, without a trace of condescension.
  • Organised, and genuinely energised by other people getting good at something — because day to day, that's the job.
  • You adapt so learners with different needs and starting points all get there.

You don't need a teaching background. If you don't already hold a recognised teaching qualification we fund one (the Level 3 Award in Education and Training), and you'll have supervision and honest feedback while you find your feet. Skills Bootcamp delivery experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

The essentials

  • Fixed-term contract, roughly four months, PAYE. Starts October 2026.
  • London hybrid — around two days a week in person at our E1 office (Liverpool Street), the rest remote.
  • Pay: £13,500–£20,000 for the contract (£40k–£60k annualised), depending on experience.
  • Enhanced DBS, safeguarding and Prevent training, and the right to work in the UK; we can't offer sponsorship.
  • AET Level 3, or ready to complete it fast before delivery starts — we fund it.
  • A genuine progression route afterwards — further bootcamp delivery, trainer, or apprenticeship coaching with us — depending on programme volume when the contract ends.

How we hire

A short screening call, a conversation with the delivery team you'd work with, and a practical task drawn from real delivery or marking rather than an invented puzzle. We move quickly — we need people ready for October.

iO-Sphere is an equal-opportunities employer. We hire on merit and welcome applications from every background. If you'd need any adjustment to the process, just tell us.

iO-Sphere is committed to safeguarding and operates within regulated Further Education environments. All applicants must complete their application honestly and in full, and consent to the pre-employment checks required for the role. Failure to disclose relevant information, or providing false information, will result in the application being withdrawn or employment being terminated.
