Senior Data Compliance Officer
Part of Bunzl plc, a FTSE 100 company, Bunzl McLaughlin has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Compliance Officer to join their Category team. The role will be based at our facility at Drumsill Distribution Centre on Moy Road, Armagh.

The Senior Data Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all product data and processes comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and commercial standards. The role includes oversight of data integrity, governance, and financial data accuracy, with a focus on cost price validation and monitoring to support commercial decision-making and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Compliance & Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain data compliance policies and procedures aligned with sustainability regulations (e.g. EUDR, EPR, CBAM, PPWR and any other industry standards). Ensure all product data fields within the system database have been fully and accurately populated. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and data quality issues.
- Cost Price Checking: Validate and monitor supplier cost prices, product cost data, and pricing structures within company systems. Investigate discrepancies in cost pricing and escalate issues to finance, or procurement teams. Work closely with commercial and purchasing teams to ensure data-driven pricing decisions are based on verified and compliant information.
- Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management: Identify compliance risks relating to data, pricing, and financial reporting, and implement corrective actions. Investigate data discrepancies, anomalies, or potential compliance breaches. Maintain documentation and audit trails for compliance reporting.
- Reporting & Analysis: Produce regular compliance and data quality reports for senior management. Provide insights into trends, risks, and errors in cost price or data integrity. Support decision-making through accurate and compliant data reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams. Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and compliance across the organisation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data processes, controls, and systems. Stay up to date with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Support implementation of new systems, tools, or governance frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience in a compliance, finance, or data governance role
- Experience in working with regulatory submissions portals – e.g Valpak, Osapiens
- Experience working with pricing, procurement, or supplier cost data
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of data compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in financial data analysis, cost pricing, or commercial data management
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret and audit complex datasets and identify discrepancies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and data management tools
