Senior Data Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £75,000
This is an opportunity to join a growing data and technology consultancy where you can combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You'll work on large-scale transformation projects, influence technical direction, and play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers.

They are a specialist data and technology consultancy delivering data engineering, analytics, cloud, and software solutions for a diverse client base. The business is experiencing strong growth and works on complex transformation programmes ranging from data platform modernisation and systems integration through to analytics and application development.

The Role
You will act as a senior technical practitioner within the data infrastructure function while remaining actively involved in engineering delivery.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building scalable data models, and data platforms
- Leading technical delivery across multiple client engagements
- Mentoring and developing more junior members across the team
- Translating business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Presenting technical recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Influencing architecture, tooling, and platform decisions
- Supporting large-scale migration, integration, and transformation programmes
- Working across analytics, BI, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations
- Taking ownership of projects from design through to delivery

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field
- Advanced SQL and data modelling expertise
- Strong experience with dbt and modern data platforms
- Knowledge of Python, APIs, Git, and cloud technologies
- Experience working with tools such as Databricks, Looker, AWS, Azure, or similar platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience leading technical projects and driving delivery
- Passion for mentoring others and contributing to engineering best practice
- Strong academic background in a STEM-related discipline
