Senior Data Engineer
Up to £75,000 – London (3 days in office)
We are partnering with a global consulting and technology services organisation that delivers large-scale digital, data and AI transformation programmes for enterprise clients across a range of industries.
Due to continued growth within its Data & Analytics practice, the organisation is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to take a leading role in designing, developing and optimising modern enterprise data platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team delivering complex data transformation initiatives, helping organisations maximise the value of their data and accelerate their analytics and AI capabilities.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, solution architects, data specialists and technology teams, you will be responsible for leading the development of scalable, cloud-based data solutions that support business-critical decision-making. You will also play an influential role in shaping data engineering best practices, providing technical leadership and helping to drive the successful delivery of large-scale data programmes.

This role would suit a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring other engineers within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and optimise complex ETL processes, data pipelines and data integration solutions across enterprise environments
- Lead the delivery of scalable and high-performing cloud-based data platforms
- Develop and maintain robust data models and data architectures to support reporting, advanced analytics and AI initiatives
- Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Data Engineers and wider project teams
- Support and contribute to data architecture decisions, platform strategy and technology roadmaps
- Lead data migration and transformation projects across multiple systems and platforms

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Engineer or within a Data & Analytics environment delivering enterprise-scale solutions
- Strong hands-on experience designing and building complex ETL processes and large-scale data pipelines
- Significant experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Advanced SQL expertise with experience working across large and complex datasets
- Strong Python skills for data engineering, automation and orchestration
- Solid understanding of modern data warehousing, data modelling and data architecture principles
