AWS Data Engineer
Location: London, UK
Work Model: 5 Days Onsite – Mandatory
Contract: Long-Term Contract
IR35: Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based ETL solutions using AWS Glue, Python, and PySpark.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Python.
- Develop PySpark scripts for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Configure and manage AWS Glue Jobs, Crawlers, and Workflows for automated data processing.
- Work with AWS S3 for cloud-based data storage and data management.
- Implement secure access and data protection using AWS IAM.
- Leverage AWS Lambda for serverless orchestration and event-driven data processing.
- Monitor AWS Glue jobs and performance metrics using Amazon CloudWatch.
- Tune Spark configurations and optimize ETL workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline and production issues and implement preventive solutions.
- Document ETL processes, data flows, technical designs, and key engineering decisions.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
