AWS Data Engineer

Location: London, UK
Work Model: 5 Days Onsite – Mandatory
Contract: Long-Term Contract
IR35: Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based ETL solutions using AWS Glue, Python, and PySpark.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Python.
  • Develop PySpark scripts for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Configure and manage AWS Glue Jobs, Crawlers, and Workflows for automated data processing.
  • Work with AWS S3 for cloud-based data storage and data management.
  • Implement secure access and data protection using AWS IAM.
  • Leverage AWS Lambda for serverless orchestration and event-driven data processing.
  • Monitor AWS Glue jobs and performance metrics using Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Tune Spark configurations and optimize ETL workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline and production issues and implement preventive solutions.
  • Document ETL processes, data flows, technical designs, and key engineering decisions.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
